WEST DORSET VINTAGE TRACTOR & STATIONARY ENGINE CLUB LIMITED

A preservation club of about 350 members which holds its own 2-day rally on the second week of June each at West Bay near Bridport. Any proceeds gained from the rally are donated to local charities & other good causes. In recent years the club has donated over £50,000. In addition the club arranges a number of social functions, including a Christmas Dinner-dance, summer barbeque and two  coach outings each year to interesting places.

Monthly club meetings are held at Dorchester where club members are welcome to bring guests with them. Activities at club meetings include film & slide shows presented by club members or guest speakers on a variety of subjects, not necessarily associated with vintage preservation.

In recent years a group of committee members and volunteers have arranged a ploughing match in October which has been held at Chideock, just outside Bridport. This has been very well supported, and as a result money raised has been able to be donated to worthy causes, such as the local air-ambulance fund
