The 8th Chideock Ploughing Match was staged by clubmembers on Sunday 19th October 2008 on land farmed by Dave Symonds, a local thatcher.  Organisers Les House & Pete Symonds again were lucky with the weather, providing good conditions for ploughing. There was a chilly wind that ensured that competitors finished their plots sooner rather than later. Nearly forty ploughmen took part in a very friendly contest split up into 4 classes. Local ploughman Brian Johnson became the overall event winner.- details of classes and winners to follow.

The pictures below show a good number of competitors at work and a few receiving certificates and cups. Most important on the day was the refreshment van providing hot drinks, soup & lunches etc.
